Dear Family, On the One Year Anniversary of losing your husband and father of those magnificent children, I send my sympathy. While Bob was bigger than life and so important to America's history, he Will be missed by his loving family. How do you share an American Hero? His absence had to have been difficult on the family and difficult for the children to understand but all great. people, accomplishments come with a price. Bob was genuine, so real and so gifted. He was a "contributer" and builder for a better life for America and the world. What an enormous legacy Bob left behind. Robert Bowman was one of my heroes -- especially for his activism on behalf of trying to make the world safe and with justice for us all -- He came to Central Oregon Community College years ago (in the mid 1980's) when I was a staff member there and after hearing him speak, I was hooked for life. I am dismayed to hear that voice has been silenced. May his family find peace in knowing his legacy lives on in the hearts, minds and activism of those of us who were fortunate enough to have had a brief encounter with him in this life time. He was the Johnny Appleseed of HOPE.

A Warrior to the end. I met Dr. Bowman at a speaking, private dinner in Palo Alto in 2007 or 08. The last time I saw him was in the interview on '"Experts Speak Out", by AE911 (architects and engineers for 911 truth). He sure seemed like he was full of Vim and Vigor on that interview. I guess he went down like a fighting soldier. A soldier for Truth. God bless Bob, and his family and friends. May his work continue.

Bob Bowman was an impressive man who loved his country and even more, loved truth and social justice. Back in about 2005 (?) we sponsored him (via the magazine we published at the time, entitled, Spirit in the Smokies) to give his "State of the Union Address" speech (as if he held the office of US President) and he was most inspiring! After his talk, the group of 60 or so people got into small discussion groups, Open Space style, and some meaningful initiatives were launched. Most notably, the Kindness Campaign began, lasting another 3 years and positively affecting many in our community of Asheville, NC, including children in schools that were interested in the Anti bullying programs. Bob was very much for the Cabinet level Department of Peace - something that we still very much need, to promote skills of collaboration and good communication in our schools and government offices - and so much more. Bob also was a deeply spiritual person and I can only assume that he now is freed up to make a difference from the other side. He was and is a force for good that is infinite, and so I'm sure his blessings will continue. Condolences to you Maggie and to the entire family to lose his physical presence, and yet may you feel in loving connection with him forever more.

I spent a week with Bob Bowman sharing understandings about how the world really works and what we need to do to restore the Constitution. We mostly talked about the monetary system and how to break free from money as debt. Bob was a courageous warrior for truth and justice and I will miss his Patriots News. My best to his wife, John

Dear Maggie, I'm saddened to hear of Bob's death, via my brother Kim. We've been out of touch for a long time, living on opposite sides of the planet and being engaged in totally different lives, and we last time we crossed path was when he came to speak in New Zealand about Star Wars, but he remains alive for me in my memory. The friends from childhood and adolescence can be deeply imprinted inside. From the Wikipedia account it sounds as if Bob kept on working for what he believed in right to the end. Sometimes in the past we ended up on the same side, as on Star Wars,and some times on opposite sides. After all he was always a Yankee fan and I a Red Sox fan, and how can you be more opposite than that? – Joe DiMaggio against Ted Williams. But we had lots of good times discussing our issues. I only got to hear Dr. Bowman speak in person one time, at an event in Los Angeles sponsored by advocates of the 9-11 truth movement. I was highly impressed that this experienced military man, likely privy to classified government information and secret projects which not many others knew about or in such detail, would speak out so courageously in questioning the "official story" regarding events of 2001-09-11, in pointing out many things which could not be true about that story, and in sounding a clarion call to Americans to defend the Constitution against its greatest enemies: the domestic ones in high places and places of power. He may have had to reject many ideas or loyalties he had held while working under the Reagan-Bush regime, but he followed the truth as he learned it wherever it would lead him. He set a rare example of such integrity amongst those in publicly-prominent positions.

I saw Bob speak a number of years ago in my area and was impressed by his knowledge and commitment to peace and democracy at a time (during the Bush-Cheney regime) when those were sorely lacking. I signed up for his Patriot News newsletter and always looked forward to it. His dedication to truth and justice was admirable and his spirit will prevail. Though I never had the pleasure or the privilege to meet Dr. Bowman I was deeply impressed by his political ideals. They were obviously reflective of a person who was concerned with the welfare and health of his fellow man and his nation. Bob was one of the few people who really connected with me. When he spoke, people had to listen; Bob commanded that much respect. I often played his speeches for friends and others; he was instumental in waking up many sleepers... I grew up in Kennebunk, Maine, a golf caddy of the Bush family and their friends. I knew the whole family that summered in Kennebunkport, especially George Sr., his parents, and many others. I later was hired to be summer groundskeeper of the Bush estate there for 4 years. USA Senator Ed Muskie, D ME, lived nearby too, and was often on the golf course summers. Of course George Sr. became president, and Muskie secretary of state. Kennebunkport was a small DC-north in summer then. We local kids were more or less in awe of these 'local' political celebrities. Some of our teachers and parents taught us to think of them as 'leaders'. They were wrong. The Vietnam War and a college education made a lot of this clear as we got older, and studied all of US history, human rights, and the Constitution. I met Bob Bowman in 2008, when it was clear to many people with good sense that 9-11 was a fraud, that the attendant wars were frauds, and that DC must be full of cowards and criminals to have permitted it, and covered up the people and reasons behind it. I asked Bob to come to Concord, NH for an event supporting the impeachment of the fraud President GW Bush, initiated by 80+ year old NH state representative and US Army vet Betty Hall, who had introduced such an impeachment bill into the NH House. Bob agreed to speak to 500 or so attenders from across New England, along with Dan Ellsberg (Pentagon Papers) and NH's infamous Granny D (who at age 88 walked across the US for campaign finance reform). I had barely heard of Bob at that time, but knew that he was not only a USAF Lt. Col. (ret), a PhD in aerospace engineering, and the first US 'star wars' director, but also a brave man of great integrity, who refused to back away from a fight for the facts of war and peace, who knew the country was in deep trouble after 9-11, which as he told us, could not have happened unless someone at the top ordered our military to stand down. Bob gave a rousing talk that Concord night, inspiring all to seek and understand the facts, support the Constitution, love our families, friends and country, and fight for the truth, so it and a US based on it should not perish. This was the first time I has ever seen, let alone met in person, a US military man who finally fit the best definitions of 'patriot' that my best Maine childhood school teachers had instilled in me. The time could not have been better. The nation and I needed such a man, and such a voice, after the crimes and treason of 9-11. This man was the real deal; a real American patriot and hero, who was not motivated by politics of self-interest, imperial or any other power for its own sake, or money. He was motivated by the founding American ideals that all US kids learn in books, but almost never see practiced in DC; as though they are myths. Bob Bowman was no myth. He was a flesh and blood champion of what American leaders are supposed to be. Bob and I became friends. I tried to schedule New England speaking events for him and occasionally succeeded. I came to know him and his wife, who my family hosted in Connecticut as needed. It was always a privilege just to spend time with Bob, to pick his seemingly infinite brain on the tech and the policy facts and questions of modern war and peace. I encouraged Bob to write a book about it all, but apparently he was too busy trying in person, coast to coast, to get the rest of us to know what he knew, and do what he knew needed doing, before it might be too late. Now, someone should write that book, I hope with Maggie's help. The nation should love Bob for what he gave us. Much of the country does. I do. There can never be too many reflections on what Bob wanted for us all, or tributes to his character, service, talents, compassion and conscience. It was an honor to know him. I will carry him in my heart and mind always, praying, as he would want us all to do, that our great people will wake up, and do what is right in the world, and at home. I can think of no better example of a modern man who lived Thomas Jefferson's call of virtue in the Declaration of Independence, that patriots need in times of great threat, to place their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor before all else in the service of their nation, to secure the blessings of freedom and liberty for themselves and their posterity. Thank you Bob, for your courageous example and friendship. You towered above the Bushes and the Muskies of my America. Rest in peace.

To Maggie and his family. Bob's life and accomplishments seem almost like part of a dream world that never really existed where truly great men sought to serve mankind with their God given gifts, treated others, no matter how lowly, with respect and attention born of a recognition that all people are created equal and have eternal worth. Of all the talks I organized in Walkerton, I cherished his eloquent dismantling of the Christian just war theory the most. I have also enjoyed reading his writings, especially on religion...a favourite quote from his "Toward a 'Jesus Society'" essay -' “Love God, and love your neighbor as yourself.” This sums up all the law and the prophets. All the rest is commentary. ' Bob's commentary was full of Wisdom and Grace and will be sorely missed in this world.
